![]() ![]() Proof of fix, I use a unique controller for fighting games and noticed on Linux when I plugged in my controller it pulled the janky cloud settings (made a while back in Windows) which dropped inputs and made the game unplayable, though it worked fine with a separate controller of the same type.įorcing off input per-game setting makes the controller work flawlessly, when I turn it back on the controller stops working. So even though when you plug in your controller it pulls your cloud data this should disable it when you load your game (and perhaps you can reset the controller in-game?) Right click your game > properties > general tab > "Steam Input Per-Game Setting (Requires Restart of Game) > FORCED OFF ![]() Other suggestions like deleting config file settings didn't work (and I'm not sure why they would as it pulls from the cloud not locally). You can give this a try to have it not load the cloud configs, I had a similar problem where plugging in a controller would pull a cloud setting that wasn't working but I couldn't remove or fix it. This post is old but helped me to fix it, so I just wanted to say thanks guys. help me somebody pls!!!!!!!!!ĥ- Open steam - big picture - settings - controller settings - uncheck your target box - connect controller and see if steam recognises it - disconnect - check box - connect and by this point it sould give you option like is a new controller.įor some reason the configuration of the gamepad in Steam Link made it stop working when connected directly to the PC. when i press any button it starts to go up always. I did everythin you said but it didn't work. I am not sure but it may work for the Steam controler. Originally posted by Space_:THIS! I had a similar problem and with the combination of this post and what I had figured out so far a was able to delete e reconfigure my GENERIC controller. So alternatively, you can opt in/out of steam beta and see how that changes things vdf files are saved as what you name the profile so you could find a "Rocket car" profile that's specific to RL easily through searchīut again, I'm not sure if this will actually clear the problems up. I'm not sure exactly how to find specific games from all these numbers but the. Controller config is where the individual game configs are stored.įrom here you can 'purge' all data however I'm not sure if this'll actually clear it or not, but this is worth a try. If its not that exact folder it'll be in userdata and then a few subfolders like shown above Originally posted by Wow! Great moves! Keep it up!:Lucky you, I happen to know where all the profiles are saved
